My sculptures are mostly cheramics, sometimes bronze, wood, metal.
Pictorial art is done with various techniques, oil, mixed materials, silk… photo graphics, photos and drawings with ink, or with computer or something else, even by felting.
What else we do but
breath our life with our own lungs, filtrate the smoky ragged air, take what we need to live – and blow the rest out as changed, metamorphosed.
My works are part of this process.
How much of us proves to be ourselves, how much of it is the from the world,
how highly from heaven, how thick the soot on our wings?
How deep the hollows in our heart?
Do others perceive this?
Perhaps our SELF is a way to perceive, to feel joy, to feel pain – in one´s own way, just as God created us?
My works are not of glass – even if their heart is.
Look: The smile crackling, the glow, the heat, the chilliness, the defiance? The wishes of those who are to be seen, and those who are hidden, their enchantment, their life and death?
Everyone of us was small, – not only “a child brittle as glass”, – but
even much more brittle, more impressionable life, lighter than a breath of a butterfly,
yes, unique.
Reared and harnessed in to armors – the more heavy – heavy we were, and some of these seemed to be light and cute – the armors of festivity, – but were in fact, barbed inside. Many chick names they got, an innumerable number of existences –and for some reason – we accepted them.
In order to stay on the peak we molded our limbs and minds to fit into the measures of our prisons, to the shape of our time – all that was against my deepest needs, so I did not bother.
They say:
“You are not from our time.” Good.
In my work I keep my freedom –
to stay as a childish downy bird,
or what I happen to feel to be, and-
what gets its existence, has it’s right to speak and sing just in its own language and rythm,
in its own time;
You and I can start to listen what they say.
I seldom make plans in advance,
I just let my hands work, then by time
I realize what was hidden in my mind.
Then is the time to start the hard working. After a long process come the final touches.
I find this “inductive”, free method effective and worth while for me.
